Jefferson County Announces New Progress-Tracking Dashboard

The county has created a new online platform where the public can track progress on goals for several departments.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — The Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder's Office has launched a new online dashboard for the public to track the county's progress on transparency, efficiency and accessibility.

"We continually set ambitious goals to achieve our vision and mission, and we invite the public to help hold us accountable by reviewing our progress toward meeting them," the office stated in a public notice.

The dashboard includes four categories:

  • Motor vehicle goal: All in-office wait times consistently less than 20 minutes
  • Elections goal: Increase voter participation relative to past elections
  • Recording (marriage licenses, public records) goal: Reduce in-office customer time
  • Clerk to the board (liquor licenses, passports): Reduce the time customers spend interacting in the Jeffco office

The new dashboard includes the latest average wait times, voter turnout numbers and plans for reaching the goals.

The platform's motor vehicle dashboard shows average in-office wait times decreased from 26 minutes in 2018 to 23 minutes in 2019.

Voter turnout goals:

  • 2019 Coordinated Election: 45 percent turnout (was 32 percent in 2017)
  • 2020 State Primary: 48 percent turnout (was 39 percent in 2018)
