Must-Know Dates As Jeffco Public Schools Start
Here are all the important dates families need to know about for the coming school year.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — The first bell on the 2019-2020 school year is about to ring and that means parents need to get their calendars in order. To help out, we've compiled a list of important dates in the coming year for Jeffco Public Schools:
- First day of school: Aug. 14
- Labor Day Holiday (no school): Sept. 2
- Teacher staff development (no school): Sept. 20
- Teacher staff development (no school): Oct. 28
- Thanksgiving break (no school): Nov. 25 to Nov. 29

- Christmas break (no school): Dec. 23 to Jan. 3
- MLK Day (no school): Jan. 20
- Teacher staff development (no school; however this could potentially be turned into a snow make up day): Jan 14
- Presidents' Day (no school): Feb. 17
- Spring Break (no school): March 23 - 27
- Teacher staff development (no school; however this could potentially be turned into a snow make up day): April 10
- Last day of school: May 22
