An opening on the Victim Assistance Compensation Board has been posted.
LAKEWOOD, CO — The City of Lakewood has one resident opening on the Victim Assistance Compensation Board, officials announced. The opening is for a three-year unexpired term position that began on October 1, 2017 and will expire on September 30, 2020.
The board considers requests for compensation to victims of crime through an application process. It also monitors the Victim Assistance Fund and insures that funds are used in accordance with the law.
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month, at 8 a.m., at the Lakewood Police Department. The meetings generally last less than two hours and require about one hour of preparation, officials said.
