1. EPA comes to Lakewood to talk about the poisonous emissions from sterilization plant. Terumo BCT Sterilization Services manufactures and distributes blood-related medical devices. The chemicals that the plant releases can cause cancer and other health problems when exposed to ethylene oxide. (Westword)
2. Golden moving forward with plan to lower neighborhood speed limits. City officials have started working toward implementing a plan that would lower residential speed limits to 20 mph. If approved, it could go into effect as soon as spring of 2023. (Transcript)
3. Casa Bonita is paying its employees to learn a new language. While the restaurant has been closed during construction, some employees of the iconic restaurant have been keeping busy learning a new language. (CBS4)
4. Colorado's Traction Law is in effect, don't get the $650 ticket. The Traction Law is active between September 1 to May 31, and requires that all vehicles have a minimum tread depth of 3/16 of an inch. The I-70 stretch (between Morrison and Dotsero) is in an 'always activated' state, in hopes of alleviating delays and crashes. (Out There)
