- Voters will decide fate of statewide affordable housing bill. If passed, the Make Colorado Affordable bill will require the State of Colorado to spend around $270M in the first year on affordable housing. (CPR)
- Local animal shelters experiencing surge in surrenders. Shelters across the state are seeing a drastic increase of owners surrendering pets. So far this year, more that 2,169 animals have been taken in. (FOX31)
- Denver breaks record for daily rainfall. The 64-year-old daily rainfall record for Aug. 21 was broken yesterday. Nearly 1.14 inches of rain fell at DIA, where Denver's weather measurements are taken. (FOX31)
- Climber survives 35 foot fall in Eldorado Springs. A 29-year-old male was injured on Saturday after he fell while climbing near the Yellow Spur. The climber hit the ground after his safety equipment pulled out of the rock. (BOCO Sheriff)
- Real estate transfer taxes reaping huge cash for Colorado towns that enacted them. Some mountain communities approved real estate transfer taxes in the 1970s and 1980s, prior to the before the passage of the 1992 Colorado Taxpayer's Bill of Rights (TABOR).
