Lakewood Police Investigating Jay Street Homicide

Police are looking for the maroon SUV associated with the crime May 30. Ivan Ocampo-Plascencia, 26, died of gunshot wounds.

LAKEWOOD, CO – Lakewood Police are still trying to solve a May 30 homicide and seek the public's help locating a vehicle associated with the incident.

Ivan Ocampo-Plascencia, 26, was shot and killed around 5 p.m. in the 100 block of South Jay Street after he reportedly got into an argument with two men in a maroon SUV, police said.

"It is believed that neither the victim nor suspects have any association with anybody living on that block," police said.

The vehicle driven by the suspects is described as a "maroon over gray SUV, likely a Suzuki Grand Vitara, late 1990’s to early 2000’s model. The vehicle has distinctive damage to the front grill and bumper, missing trim on the front, right wheel and missing a spare tire from the back."
