“I look back on my career and realize how very fortunate I’ve been” said Davis. “I’ve had a very good working relationship with not only the Denver area media, but with many of those at the National level as well. I’ve met and made some very close friends who are members of the media.”
“Nothing shaped my PIO career more than dealing with the massive amount of media following the shootings at Columbine High School in 1999. I was relatively new as the PIO and had to learn the role at an incredibly accelerated rate. I was lucky to have many experienced PIOs in the area to help me.”

Davis and his wife Loretta, plan to remain in the Denver area, at least for the time being. He added, “Now perhaps I can get to work on getting my golf handicap down to a respectable number!”
