LAKEWOOD, CO -- A teen pedestrian, struck by a car in an early morning accident in Lakewood last week has died, police said. Ezekiel Mckie, 16, of Lakewood, died yesterday at 2:30 p.m. at St. Anthony's Hospital where he was originally brought April 17, the morning of the accident, according to a statement from Lakewood Police. Ezekiel and his 15-year-old brother were crossing Wadsworth Boulevard at 26th Avenue around 6:30 a.m. to catch an RTD bus to get to Lakewood High School. Witnesses said Ezekiel was crossing the street against a red light and entered the southbound lanes where he was struck by a southbound vehicle, police said.
