Man Accused Of Vehicular Homicide In Fatal Lakewood Crash

LAKEWOOD, CO — A man is accused of vehicular homicide in a Lakewood crash that killed 24-year-old James Michael Graham and left four others seriously injured, the 1st Judicial District Attorney's Office announced Friday.

Terry McFadden, 24, has been charged with multiple counts, including vehicular homicide, DUI, vehicular assault and careless driving.

Lakewood police were called the crash just before midnight near eastbound 6th Avenue and Union Boulevard. Officers found a Lincoln sedan that had been struck from behind by a Kia, the DA's office said.

The sedan was off the road when police arrived and there were three people trapped inside. There had been five people inside the Lincoln at the time of the collision. West Metro Fire extricated the three people who were trapped and they were sent to the hospital with serious injuries.

McFadden had been driving the Kia, the DA's office said. He was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County jail.

Graham was a passenger in the Lincoln. He died from his injuries Wednesday, the DA's office said.

McFadden's preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 18.
