LAKEWOOD, CO – An early morning traffic collision in Lakewood killed a 55-year-old Littleton man, police said Friday. The accident took place around 6:25 a.m. in the intersection of Indiana Street just south of West 6th Avenue.The driver of a green Subaru Legacy was traveling through a green light from the eastbound off-ramp of West 6th Avenue turning north onto Indiana street, when he was struck by a Nissan Murano traveling south on Indiana. The Nissan hit the Subaru on the driver's side, killing the driver, police said.The driver of the Nissan was identified as 20-year-old Shahpool Mohammad of Lakewood. She was ticketed for careless driving, causing death. Alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the accident, police said. "There was no cell phone involved," Lakewood detective Timmy Marquez told Patch. "We're still looking at traffic cameras and trying to investigate the accident."
