Man Dies In Lakewood Auto Wreck
Police are investigating an early-morning crash in Lakewood that killed a 55-year-old Littleton man.

LAKEWOOD, CO – An early morning traffic collision in Lakewood killed a 55-year-old Littleton man, police said Friday. The accident took place around 6:25 a.m. in the intersection of Indiana Street just south of West 6th Avenue.
The driver of a green Subaru Legacy was traveling through a green light from the eastbound off-ramp of West 6th Avenue turning north onto Indiana street, when he was struck by a Nissan Murano traveling south on Indiana. The Nissan hit the Subaru on the driver's side, killing the driver, police said.
The driver of the Nissan was identified as 20-year-old Shahpool Mohammad of Lakewood. She was ticketed for careless driving, causing death. Alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the accident, police said.

"There was no cell phone involved," Lakewood detective Timmy Marquez told Patch. "We're still looking at traffic cameras and trying to investigate the accident."
Police would not release the identity of the deceased driver until next-of-kin had been notified, Marquez said.
