Man Shot In Chest During Lakewood Robbery

LAKEWOOD, CO -- A Lakewood man was shot in the chest by two people who had robbed him, police said. The victim, 26, was approached by an unknown man and woman around 8:55 p.m. on April 5 near his home in the 9000 block of West 14th Avenue. After the couple demanded his cell phone and car keys, the man allegedly shot him in the chest, police said. The couple fled in a white sedan.

The shooting victim was taken to a hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries. A third person was seen driving the car, police said.

Police are seeking a black man and woman captured in grainy surveillance video.
