Men Steal Woman's Purse, Sexually Assault Her In Lakewood: Police
The woman was assaulted near the Sheridan Station, police said.
LAKEWOOD, CO — The Lakewood Police Department is searching for two suspects after a woman was robbed and sexually assaulted early Sunday morning, the department said. Two men stole a woman's purse while she was on a westbound RTD train at Sheridan Station, near Sheridan Boulevard and 12th Place, Lakewood police said.
The woman then followed the two men off the train, and they pulled out a gun and assaulted her, according to police. Officers received a call about the robbery and assault at about 2:40 a.m.
One of the suspects is described as a Hispanic or Asian man who is about 20 years old and stands 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was wearing a gray or blue long-sleeve sweater and a black jacket with yellow stripes on the sleeves, police said. The other suspect is described as a black man who is also about 20 years old and about 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was wearing a red hat, a red shirt and black shoes, according to police.
