This decision comes after man that was filming a traffic stop in Lakewood, had police agent block him from recording the incident. (Midland)
  2. Hundreds of gallons of diesel spilled into Lakewood's Bear Creek. Lakewood police believe that someone intentionally drilled a hole in the truck's diesel tank, causing an enormous diesel spill near West Dartmouth Place. The fuel flowed into a drainage area that leads to Bear Creek. (CDLLife)
  3. Lakewood's pilot project hopes to prevent algae blooms. Horseshoe Pond in the Bear Creek Greenbelt is part of a pilot program that has placed plant-filled floating islands into the water – designed to improve water quality and wildlife habitat. (7News)
