With strong backing from Lutheran Hospital, the nonprofit serves tens of thousands yearly and is preparing a new community campus in early 2027 to bring even more services under one roof. 
• A Heart for the Cause: Local Fifth Grader is Top Fundraiser for Charity (ngazette.com) — A Lakewood fifth grader at Jefferson County Open School has become Colorado's top Kids Heart Challenge fundraiser, bringing in $8,000 this year and nearly $20,000 overall. Inspired by her own childhood heart surgery, she's turning her story into creative campaigns that teach classmates CPR, support heart research, and help kids whose families struggle to afford care.
