1. U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Colorado focused on Inflation Reduction Act funding. Pelosi joined Congressman Joe Neguse as they toured NCAR laboratory in Boulder and hosted a roundtable discussion on the Inflation Reduction Act. (CBS4)
2. Will last month's free transit test spawn a new program? Now that Colorado's free month of transit is over, some are hoping to take it to the next level. RTD is preparing a report on the test, due out in November. (CPR)
3. Colorado will continue to distribute free COVID-19 test kits. As the federal program winds down, the State of Colorado will continue to distribute the home test kits at recreation centers and other locations across the state. (7News)
4. Colorado tops national list of stolen cars, metro Denver No. 2. The National Insurance Crime Bureau's (NICB) Hot Spot list shows that Colorado had the highest number of car thefts per 100 in the U.S. in 2021. As for metro areas, Denver is second only to Bakersville, CO. (PR Newswire)
