Perlmutter To Host Lakewood Open House
Got some good ideas for Congress? Meet your congressman Ed Perlmutter for refreshments and conversation this weekend in Lakewood.

LAKEWOOD, CO - U.S. Congressman Ed Perlmutter (D-Arvada) will be on-hand in person at his Lakewood district offices to answer questions and talk with constituents this weekend. Download the flyer here.
Perlmutter, who represents the 7th District, threw his hat into the Colorado Democratic race for Governor in April. Then he quickly retracted that hat in July, shortly after the Washington DC shooting of his colleague Steve Scalise and the announcement that Congressman Jared Polis (D-Boulder) was in the governor's race for the Democratic primary.
“It takes time and it takes money and it takes energy — and putting all those together, I found looking down deep it was going to be a tough road to hoe,” Perlmutter told a group in July, according to the Denver Post.

He also changed his mind about not running again for re-election for a seventh term in the 7th District, which covers western Adams County and parts of Jefferson County, including Arvada, parts of Commerce City, Edgewater, Federal Heights parts of Golden, Lakewood, Northglenn, Thornton, Westminster and Wheat Ridge.
Perlmutter appeared Monday night at a “government in the grocery” event at a Wheat Ridge grocery store.
