Hello Lakewood friends! There's lots going on this week, and today's Lakewood Daily is full of things to be excited about. I'm sure you've already heard the news about Casa Bonita being purchased by the creators of South Park, but as the reality of this sets in, it's gonna be a bigger deal than Meow Wolf opening in Denver next month.

  1. Due to rapidly increasing cases and hospitalizations in Jefferson County, JCPH has extended the COVID-19 Dial. Jeffco will remain in this observation period for another month through September 15, 2021. (Jefferson County Government)
  2. City of Lakewood Police Department has partnered with @AAAColorado, CAPTA and Metro Auto Theft Task Force to help combat catalytic converter theft. Solutions include etching, or installing decals on your auto's catalytic converter to deter theft. (Nerdwallet)
  3. RMCAD Graduation Exhibition: Celebrate the Work of Our Summer 2021 Graduates! The exhibition will feature 2D, 3D, and 4D art and design work from across multiple RMCAD departments. (40WestArts)
  4. Are you ready for robots to get you from Point A to Point B? The Colorado School of Mines announced the launch of the nation's largest fleet of autonomous vehicles. The "Mines Rover" as they will be known, will shuttle students around campus and around Golden, CO. Shuttles will be free of charge, and available to the general public. (9News)
