Here are the top four stories today in Lakewood:

  1. Do congressional candidates have to live in the districts they're running to represent in Colorado? It turns out the federal law doesn't require those running for congressional seats to live in the districts they are running for. (The CO Sun)
  2. Colorado set to make big investments to address the homeless crisis. Gov. Jared Polis has signed several bills designed to address homelessness in Colorado. These bills are funded by nearly $200 million in federal relief money. (Patch)
  3. Denver-based Frontier sweetens its merger offer. Frontier Airlines is trying to buy Spirit Airlines, but JetBlue Airways has been trying to derail the deal so it can buy Spirit for itself. In an attempt to seal the deal, Frontier is adding a $250M breakup fee to their package. (CO Sun)
  4. Starbucks fighting back against unionization effort at Denver location. It appears that the international coffee dealer isn't very happy with workers that have opted to unionize at the East Colfax store.
