Tax Refund On Electric Vehicles In Lakewood

If you are a Lakewood resident and purchased an all-electric vehicle prior to April 22, 2021, you may be due a refund of (municipal sales) tax. Refunds shall only apply to purchases of 100% electric-powered vehicles, batteries or controls made July 1, 2017 through April 21, 2021. Please complete a Claim for Refund Form and email it to taxauditor@lakewood.org, along with a completed W9 form and a copy of the invoice or registration indicating Lakewood’s tax was collected by the dealership or Jefferson County.
