Two Men Stabbed, One Fatally, In Lakewood's Belmar Park
So far there is no known connection between the stabbings, Lakewood police said.
LAKEWOOD, CO — A man has died and another man was hospitalized after they were both stabbed in separate attacks Thursday in Lakewood's Belmar Park. It's unclear whether the two stabbings are connected, Lakewood police said. No arrests have been made.
"We're asking everyone to stay clear of the Belmar Park area," Lakewood police spokesman John Romero said. "We have agents combing the park."
Officers were called to the park just after midnight after a man was stabbed near the Lakewood Heritage Center at 801 S. Yarrow St., police said.

Then at 6:55 a.m., someone was walking in Belmar Park when they found a man's body near the Colorado Fallen Firefighters Memorial, Romero said. The man had been stabbed several times.
The suspect in the first stabbing was described as a white or Hispanic man in his late teens or early 20s with short black hair. He's about six feet tall and weighs 150 pounds. He was wearing black pants and a black hoodie with an emblem on the chest, police said.
A description of the suspect in the second stabbing has not been released.
