Voter Turnout In Jeffco Is 'Through The Roof,' Clerk Says
Jefferson County voters have returned more than 130,000 ballots, elections officials said.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — Voter turnout for the presidential primary in Jefferson County is extremely high, according to the county's clerk and recorder. As of Saturday, more than 130,000 ballots had been returned.
Ballot breakdown:
- Democrats: 44,276
- Republicans: 45,490
- Unaffiliated: 44,397
"Turnout for this election is through the roof, which inevitably means longer wait times tomorrow—take advantage of shorter lines while you can!" read a public notice from Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder George Stern.

"While we've already begun processing and counting the ballots that we have received, we do not know results and will not begin posting results until 7 p.m. tomorrow."
