- Colorado's clean energy transition program is at a crossroads. Last August, the Colorado Public Utilities Commission announced retirement deadlines for all remaining coal-fired power plants, but challenges still exist to meet aggressive 2030 goals. (Daily Sentinel)
- Wheat Ridge hit with ransomware attack that shut down city hall. After getting hit with a $5 million demand to unlock the city's computer system on Aug. 29, Wheat Ridge leaders decided not to pay ransom and rebuild the system themselves. (Local News)
- Another round of TABOR refunds likely next spring. As Colorado's economy has rebounded from the pandemic, it has collected more taxes. Because of the state's Taxpayer Bill of Rights, when revenues exceed the proscribed spending limits, it has to refund the money back to taxpayers. Refunds, based on your income, could range from $160 to around $600. (CPR)
