“The city council and staff are committed to keeping municipal services operational where possible,” Relph said in a statement. “However, considering the recommendation to practice social distancing, we are eliminating as many interactions as we can to reduce face-to-face contact. A good number of our municipal services can be accomplished by phone, online or by mail such as Core municipal services such as law enforcement remain fully staffed, and public works including the streets, traffic, fleet, facilities and utilities employees will be on duty as usual.

“We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 updates with our partners from Tri-County Health Department and other agencies,” Relph said. “Our Emergency Operations Center is activated and will be staffed as needed to respond to any new developments. We encourage citizens to follow recommended precautionary measures, practice social distancing, and visit Tri-County Health Department's website for the most current information."
