Family, Pets Escape From Burning Castle Rock House
Firefighters battled a blaze that destroyed the roof of a multimillion dollar Castle Rock home. One emergency worker was injured.

CASTLE ROCK, CO -- Family members and pets escaped as a luxury home in Castle Rock caught fire Monday afternoon. The multi-million dollar home was located in the exclusive Castle Pines Village in the 600 block of Cliffgate Lane.
The fast-moving flames burned through the roof of the house, battled by 40 firefighters from South Metro Fire Rescue and Castle Rock Fire Department. Firefighters were able to prevent neighboring buildings and ground brush from burning.
One officer from Castle Pines Emergency Services was treated for smoke inhalation and a rolled ankle.
