French Delegation Visits Colorado Fire Agency Facilities
A delegation from France will visit Centennial Airport and Rifle to learn about firefighting technology.

The Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control will host a delegation of firefighters and fire agency representatives from France Monday and Tuesday to share the latest firefighting technology. The delegation requested the visit as part of France’s efforts to improve firefighting efforts in the wildland fire community, officials said.
The delegation will include representatives from France's Nîmes metropolitan area, the European multinational aerospace corporation Airbus and the electrical systems company Thales Group.
The group hopes to learn more about aerial firefighting best practices in the United States and new and innovative technologies that may help with firefighting in France, Colorado officials said.

The delegation will meet with the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control's Multi Mission Aircraft program staff at the Centennial Airport, and travel to Rifle to learn about the division's night aerial firefighting, aerial water enhancement, unmanned aerial systems and the team awareness kit, TAK.
“We are pleased to welcome the delegates and share the programs we've built,” said Mike Morgan, the Colorado division's director, in a statement. “We are fortunate to have outstanding facilities and resources, which serve as a model for other fire programs not just in Colorado, but around the world.”
