• Former Budlong Chicken owner sentenced to prison for spending COVID relief money on sprawling Colorado home and exotic trips (meigsindypress.com) — A Littleton resident who once owned Budlong Hot Chicken has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for misusing more than $2.3 million in COVID relief funds. Prosecutors say he bought a large Evergreen home, vehicles, and luxury trips instead of supporting his restaurants and employees, and also failed to remit over $430,000 in payroll taxes. 
• CU Boulder student to compete in national para dressage championship (timescall.com) — A CU Boulder sophomore from Littleton, para dressage rider Katy Carpenter, is headed to the U.S. national dressage championships in a newly added para division. Training in Sedalia with coach and fellow para athlete Holly Bergay, she's competing on a borrowed horse, proving determination and community support can carry a Littleton rider onto a national stage.
