Snow Storm Causes City Of Littleton Offices To Close Early

Littleton's Street Division personnel are operating seven plows and applying de-icer around the clock until the storm passes.

LITTLETON, CO — All City of Littleton offices will be closing early Tuesday as the snow storm continues to cause dangerous roads. A National Weather Service Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until noon on Wednesday.

All city offices will be closing at 1 p.m. Tuesday and will re-open at 10 a.m. Wednesday, officials said.

The closures include the Littleton Center, Bemis Library, Littleton Museum and Municipal Court.

Littleton Public Schools has announced early closures. Students will be dismissed two hours early and all after-school activities have been canceled.

"The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken," the National Weather Service warned in an alert. "If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency."
