'Weekends On Main' In Littleton To Launch In June
The city will launch "Weekends on Main" in the next couple of weeks, an outdoor seating plan for Main Street restaurants.

LITTLETON, CO—The City of Littleton, with support from the Littleton Business Chamber and the Historic Downtown Littleton Merchants Association, will launch "Weekends on Main" in the next couple of weeks, an outdoor seating plan for Main Street restaurants.
According to city leaders, the concept was created to help restaurants obtain additional seating outside to compensate for the seating lost inside due to social-distancing requirements.
Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic on Fridays at 3 p.m. and reopen Sundays at 9 p.m. so that the street can be set up for al-fresco style dining. (Prince, Nevada, and Curtice Streets will remain open to maintain access to the businesses on those streets.)

Each will serve food and beverages to diners on tables set in the street in front of their restaurant. Reservations are strongly encouraged.
The city submitted a plan to Tri-County Health Department (TCHD) describing the program and received approval Wednesday. City leaders said the plan ensures strict requirements for social distancing and other safety issues identified in the state’s most recent order concerning restaurants.
The exact start date for "Weekends on Main" will be announced after the state approves extending the boundary of each restaurant’s liquor license into the street.
