• Jury finds Colorado man guilty of felony for shooting teen who was on his property (cpr.org) — A former Mountain View town council member has been convicted of a felony for illegally discharging a firearm and a misdemeanor assault charge after shooting a 17-year-old who had come onto his property in 2024. Jurors rejected more serious assault and menacing counts, and the defendant was immediately taken into custody; sentencing is set for June 15, with a backup date of July 7.
