• New opioid settlement dollars awarded across Western Slope (gjsentinel.com) — New opioid settlement funding is bringing long-missing mental health services directly to Orchard Mesa, where nearly 7,000 residents currently have no local behavioral health provider. Mesa County’s share of statewide opioid settlements will help the Counseling and Education Center expand capacity, add substance-use expertise, and host partner services on-site, while other Western Slope communities receive funding for crisis response, detox upgrades, and youth support programs.
