• New Colorado Building Rules Aim to Reduce Wildfire Risk (townsquarenoco.com) — If you live or plan to build in the Redlands, new wildfire-resilient building rules are about to change how homes, garages, and additions are designed and what materials you can use. Starting July 1, Mesa County will require fire-resistant construction in Wildland-Urban Interface areas, including the Redlands, so property owners should check hazard maps and understand the new standards before submitting projects.
