• Maroon Bells Rescue: Hiker Slides 200 Feet Off Buckskin Pass (outsideonline.com) — A hiker was rescued with non-life-threatening injuries after sliding about 200 feet near Buckskin Pass in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness, not far from Snowmass Village. Mountain Rescue Aspen and the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office used the incident to warn locals that deep snow and winter-like conditions still linger on the Four Pass Loop, urging hikers to carry proper gear and turn back when terrain looks unsafe.
