• Little Larry van stolen from Harvest for Hunger (aspentimes.com) — A key Harvest for Hunger van was stolen from the Snowmass Village food rescue nonprofit on Sept. 19 and still hasn’t been found, leaving the group operating with just one vehicle. Police believe the van remains in or near the valley and are asking anyone with information to call Snowmass Police, as the loss complicates efforts to keep food waste down and support local families.
   

• Snowmass, CO, Announces What's New for Winter 2026-27 (snowbrains.com) — Snowmass Village residents can expect a busy 2026-27 winter with the rebuilt Ullrhof restaurant reopening on the mountain, major renovations finished at the Stonebridge Inn and Timberline Condominiums, and expanded Ikon Base Pass access. The town is also planning a new Ice Age excavation at Ziegler Reservoir, while The Collective Snowmass adds fresh community programs and airlines increase flights into nearby Aspen.
   

• You Can Ride In Aspen This Weekend For Free (yardbarker.com) — Snowmass Village riders can hit the Makaha Terrain Park for free this Saturday and Sunday, with the Coney Express running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days. Facilities and food options will be limited, but all ability levels are welcome to hike down and session rails and boxes on snow preserved under experimental insulated blankets.
