• Defending champion takes Vail International Pro Am (vaildaily.com) — A longtime Vail Valley golf tradition just wrapped with defending champion Andrew McCain again topping the Vail International Pro Am, while his Minnesota-based team also captured the team title. Founded by Vail pioneer Pete Seibert, the 39th annual event rotated through Frost Creek, Eagle Ranch and Sonnenalp, raising money for local youth and health nonprofits serving the Colorado Rockies.
   

• Vail, Beaver Creek set to debut Epic Ascent private lesson concierge experience this season (vaildaily.com) — Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek will launch a new Epic Ascent private-lesson concierge service this winter, promising tailored instruction, trip planning, and skip-the-line lift access. The rollout comes as Vail Resorts responds to lower pass sales and investor pressure, with Vail aiming to open Nov. 13 and Beaver Creek on Nov. 25, weather permitting.
   

• Defining Thermal Domains for Campus and District Energy Systems, Part 1 (phcppros.com) — Engineers are using Vail Public Library and the nearby Dobson Ice Arena as a real-world example of how to share waste heat between buildings, cutting energy use and operating costs.
