10 More Names Added to CIAC Basketball All-Century Teams
A total of 25 girls and 25 boys will be feted as the greatest Connecticut high school basketball players of the past 100 years.
CONNECTICUT — Five more girls and five more boys have been named by the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) to its All-Century high school basketball teams, picked in commemoration of the organization's 100th anniversary. Twenty names from each squad have been revealed in recent weeks, with the final five to be announced next week.
Players are listed with their name during their high school career, their graduation year and school. The All-Century teams were compiled with input from past and current coaches, veteran high school basketball writers and others closely associated with Connecticut boys and girls basketball through the decades.
Selections were made strictly on the player's high school career, not necessarily on their later accomplishments in college and/or pro ball. Players selected to the teams are not ranked in any order; rather, the CIAC is releasing five names weekly at random.
