CONNECTICUT — Parts of Connecticut woke up to snowflakes falling Thursday morning. And it appears that even more snow will fall Friday evening and early Saturday in parts of Connecticut.
It only makes sense that after a winter of almost no snow that Connecticut will see snow in mid-April. It appears every part of the state except for the immediate coast will see some snow late Friday and early Saturday. The best chance for accumulating snow is in the interior and far northern sections of the state.
Inland sections of southern Connecticut are right on the edge of whether it will see any accumulating snow, as rain is expected to mix with snow. Areas north and west of Hartford may see 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service said for southern Connecticut we can expect to see some rain late Friday afternoon and heavier rain Friday night into Saturday.
"Some snow is forecast as well with this system for some interior parts of the region but with little to no accumulation," the weather service said.
For northern sections of the state, the weather service said, "Rain, mixed with minor accumulations of wet/dense snow mainly interior north Friday night as a surface low passes over or just south of Southern New England. While confidence has increased in precipitation types, snow accumulation forecast still is uncertain due to marginal temperatures."
The weather service adds that the best chance to see the most snow is north and west of Hartford but even south of Hartford an inch of slushy accumulation is still possible.
