After $9.4 Million CT Lotto Payout, Powerball Purse Tops $1 Billion
A Lotto jackpot was hit in Connecticut late last week.
CONNECTICUT — Wednesday's Powerball jackpot of $1.2 billion is coming on the heels of a $9.4 million win in the Ct Lottery's Lotto Drawing.
The "winner" from Plainfield purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket at Gibbs in Colchester, and the ticket correctly picked all six numbers for the $9.4 million grand prize, CT Lottery officials said.
Players can choose an annuity that is paid in 21 equal installments or opt for the ticket cash value of $6,483,618, according to the CT Lottery.

Other winners include: 9 people won $2,244, 478 people won $49, and 7,952 won $2. All told, 8,440 winning tickets were sold in Connecticut for Friday's Lotto game, according to the CT Lottery.
The Powerball game's Wednesday drawing has a $1.2 billion purse with an estimated cash-out value of $551.7 million, CT Lottery officials said.
