CT Weather: Rain, Storms Tuesday Then Better Weather Moves In
October begins with some noticeable changes to the weather and here is the next chance for more rain and thunderstorms.

This forecast for the upcoming week is the forecast we wished we had in August when it seemingly rained everyday or felt like it was 100 degrees. Outside of more rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday, the 7-day weather forecast for Connecticut looks great with plenty of sun and warm temps.
The first October weekend also looks good as temps will be in the low 70s with sunshine forecast. We'll certainly take it after last week's record rain.
The National Weather Service says, "Clouds will gradually increase across the region today as a cold front approaches from the north, stalling across the area tonight before returning north as a warm front on Tuesday. There could be a few showers this afternoon and tonight, mainly across the Lower Hudson Valley and southern Connecticut. The threat of showers and thunderstorms will increase on Tuesday as low pressure and a cold front approach from the west. The best chance will be in the late afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will be unseasonably warm the next couple of days with highs in the 70s to around 80, with lows in the 60s."

The next few days will feature a few showers chances. NO washouts, an isolated shower on Monday, a better chance later Tuesday into Wednesday. Overall, the first week of October looks warmer than average. #NBCCT @nbcconnecticut https://t.co/wVvfksTfOB pic.twitter.com/EDm5D0s1qW

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said "Welcome to October! It is actually going to feel quite mild for this time of the year through much of this week! Clouds and breaks of sun from time to time today with a scattered late afternoon shower and high temperatures in the 70s. A higher threat of some showers and thunderstorms later tomorrow! Heading to near 80 by Thursday!"
