Champions Crowned In CIAC Tennis Finals
Eight different schools walked away with team championships in the boys and girls finals at Wesleyan University.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The tennis courts at Wesleyan University were filled with familiar high school uniforms Thursday, as eight team champions were crowned in the CIAC boys and girls divisional championships.
Some schools won state titles for the third or second straight season, others prevailed for the first time in ages (or ever), and still others with dominant programs found themselves on the rare short end of the stick.
Four schools found themselves in the position of adding a pair of titles to their collections, as Stonington, Avon, New Canaan and Greenwich were each represented in both a boys and girls final. However, none of the four were able to pull off a sweep of the crowns.
