Storm To Bring Heavy Rain, Fog To CT: Timeline, New Details Released
Once the unsettled weather ends, temperatures will plummet as we head into the weekend and snowflakes are possible in Connecticut.

CONNECTICUT — Rain is expected to begin around midday in western portions of the state, and it should be raining everywhere in time for the evening commute home from work.
Up to an inch and a half of rain may fall before the precipitation ends Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Fog will also be a concern too, but the good news is that it doesn't look to be overly windy during this period.
"We’re expecting rain in time for the evening commute. Temperatures will climb statewide, though stubborn cold air in the Litchfield Hills may hold off the warmer air for a little while longer than the rest of the state. Highs reach the lower half of the 50s, about 10 degrees above average for this time of year," said WFSB 3 TV Meteorologist Scot Haney. "Rain becomes steadier and heavier through the middle of the afternoon. Moderate rain is forecast for tonight."

"Rain lingers on and off into Wednesday morning. Another period of steadier rain is expected through the day tomorrow. The breeze will pick up, too. There could be a couple of gusts over 30 mph, but most are likely to be lower than that," Haney added. (Watch the WFSB 3 TV weather forecast here).
Wet weather is in the forecast today and tomorrow. Our latest forecast is calling for 1-1.5" for most areas. Most of this will fall tonight and Wednesday morning. Rain coverage will be greatest for western areas today before the rain expands eastward tonight. #NYwx #NJwx #CTwx pic.twitter.com/rFKw1WcGKs

Once the rain ends, Thursday looks great with sunshine and temperatures into the low 50s but then temperatures start to drop, and we may even see some snowflakes late Friday and on Saturday.
