Timeline For Strong-To-Severe Thunderstorms Released For CT On Thursday
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for most of Connecticut on Thursday. Here are the new updates.
CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service said there is a chance for strong-to-severe thunderstorms across the state Thursday afternoon and evening.
A majority of the day will be dry and there will be periods of sunshine with temperatures into the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for inland sections of southern Connecticut and for all of northern Connecticut for the chance of storms.
No advisory has been issued for the immediate coast, but storms are still possible here too, the weather service said.

"Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this evening as a cold front moves through the area," the weather service said for inland sections of southern Connecticut. "...The primary threat in any severe storms is damaging wind gusts. These storms could also produce heavy downpours."
For northern Connecticut, the weather service said, "A few strong to severe thunderstorms is possible late this afternoon into evening...The main concern is damaging winds and heavy rain that may result in isolated poor drainage flooding."

The weather service said the best chance for storms is between 3-11 p.m, while adding that there is the "potential for a few strong and/or severe thunderstorms."
There will be a slight chance for more storms on Friday afternoon, but then the weekend looks amazing with sunshine and cooler temperatures.

Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Friday: A slight chance of showers between 11am and 2pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Light west wind becoming southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
