Hidden Gems Of Connecticut
The latest Hidden Gem might be in a corner, but its food preparation cuts no corners.

FARMINGTON, CT — This week's excursion to a Hidden gem in Connecticut takes us to the corner of a plaza in Farmington where, amid a cozy courtyard, we meet a restaurant serving up "new American" cuisine with a whole lot of fun attached to it.
Welcome to Fork & Fire at 838 Farmington Ave.
The building might be in a corner, but the food at Fork & Fire is prepared "from scratch" using a "no corners cut" method.

"We believe creating great food is as much in sourcing the ingredients as it is building flavor profiles," the owners like to say.
Many of those ingredients are "locally sourced."

Fork & Fire also features a "modern wine selection," a rotating list of local craft beers on draft, and "signature cocktails."
Fork & Fire also has one of the most fun Facebook pages around, one full of lively posts.
Take this one from Feb. 16, for example:
Valentine's candy is 50% off this week. These wings are 50 cents this Wednesday. Basically you can be a real winner in many ways if you set your mind to it.
