Good Monday morning Connecticut,
Another windy day is on tap, and a special weather statement has been issued for northern sections of the state for the chance of "elevated fire weather concerns" due to 30 mph wind gusts and a "very dry air mass." In southern Connecticut, we can expect wind gusts up to 32 mph on Monday.
WTNH News 8 chief meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote on Facebook, "Wind gusts between 20 mph and 40 mph! This will raise the pollen count and also the fire danger!" The week ahead forecast looks sunny through Friday and temperatures into the 70s and possibly 80s by Thursday. Rain showers are possible on Saturday and Sunday.
