'Nothing Is Cheap': CT Pub, Live Music Venue Closes Abruptly
The establishment's owner said the bar has closed after four years, citing high expenses.
WATERTOWN, CT — The Jameson Pub has closed its doors after four years in Watertown.
Owner Robert Perri posted about the closure on Facebook.
"I guess I’ll address the elephant in the room. We closed The Jameson Pub Saturday night," he wrote. "For the last 4 years we’ve struggle to keep the place open. Nothing is cheap and live music is expensive..."

Following the closure, Perri said, "I’m not sure what we are going to be doing with the bar. I’m considering my options."
Perri also thanked the bands that performed at the venue as well as the staff.

The website for the 657 Main St. pub is no longer functional.

A DJ performed at the bar and club this past weekend, according to Jameson Pub's Instagram page. The spot hosted many local bands and served pub food like wings, mozzarella sticks, and fried mac bites.
Perri is also listed as the owner of Grand Street Tavern in Waterbury, according to Hearst Connecticut Media. That establishment remains open.
The address was previously home to other music-based cafes over the years, including The Red Door and Ouzo Blues, according to The Connecticut Scoop.
