Pairings, Start Times For Travelers Championship Celebrity Pro-Am

Some of the top stars in golf will tee it up with sports and entertainment personalities Wednesday at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.

CROMWELL, CT — On Wednesday, the top golfers in the world will have their final tour of the TPC River Highlands prior to the start of actual competition in the Travelers Championship, as they join stars of the sports and entertainment worlds in the annual Celebrity Pro-Am.

Sixteen players ranked among the top 30 in the world, including No. 1 Brooks Koepka, are scheduled to play in the Pro-Am, which kicks off at 6:50 a.m. at both the first and 10th tees.

Here are the Pro-Am starting times of the top professionals, including world ranking and opening tee:

  • 6:50 a.m. - Bryson DeChambeau (#10, 1st)
  • 6:50 a.m. - Justin Thomas (#7, 10th)
  • 7 a.m. - Brooks Koepka (#1, 1st)
  • 7 a.m. - Bubba Watson (#22, 10th)
  • 7:10 a.m. - Phil Mickelson (#26, 1st)
  • 7:20 a.m. - Francesco Molinari (#6, 10th)
  • 7:30 a.m. - Tommy Fleetwood (#20, 1st)
  • 7:30 a.m. - Paul Casey (#15, 10th)
  • 8:40 a.m. - Patrick Reed (#25, 1st)
  • 8:40 a.m. - Marc Leishman (#23, 10th)
  • 8:50 a.m. - Jason Day (#18, 1st)
  • 8:50 a.m. - Patrick Cantlay (#8, 10th)

Three other winners of major championships are slated to play Wednesday: Lucas Glover (2009 U.S. Open, 7:10 a.m., 10th), Padraig Harrington (2007-2008 British Open and 2008 PGA Championship, 7:40 a.m., 10th) and Keegan Bradley (2011 PGA Championship, 7:50 a.m., 1st).

For those who prefer star-gazing, the celebrities will begin play in the early afternoon in seven consecutive groups, all starting on the first hole. Those pairings, including the PGA TOUR professional, are:

  • 12:10 p.m. - Boomer Esiason, Mark Teixeira, Tim Wakefield (Kyle Stanley)
  • 12:20 p.m. - Ray Allen, Doug Flutie, Chris Berman (Brandt Snedeker)
  • 12:30 p.m. - Nick Bonino, Mike Cavanaugh (Beau Hossler)
  • 12:40 p.m. - Jim Calhoun, Mike Gorman, Brandel Chamblee (Brian Harman)
  • 12:50 p.m. - Dan Orlovsky, Randy Edsall, Trey Wingo (Jason Kokrak)

Finally, the annual Dunkin' Celebrity Mini Golf Tournament will take place in the Stanley Black & Decker Fan Zone Wednesday, with teams competing at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Actors Bridget Moynahan (Blue Bloods), Anna Wood (The Code) and Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) will host the event.

Tournament week kicked off Monday with an opening ceremony, followed by the Aetna Tournament Players Pro-Am, which was won by the team of Douglas DeWilde, Larry O’Leary, Brian Werner, Andy Young and PGA TOUR professional Wes Roach.
