Picture Connecticut: A Golf Hole That's As British As It Gets
The latest stop on the Patch Picture Connecticut tour.

EAST HADDAM, CT — In honor of this week's Open Championship in Scotland, the Picture Connecticut tour takes us to a golf hole that's as British as it can get in the Nutmeg State.
Welcome to the Par 3 4th at Fox Hopyard Golf Club in East Haddam.
The hole features a 90-foot drop from the tee to the largest green on the course and it measures 202 yards from back tees, 127 from the front tees with five other angles possible in between. Four pot bunkers as much as 15 feet below the green stand guard

It's all about club selection and carry. Four pot bunkers some 15 feet below the putting surface serve as sinister sentinels for the green, adding more consternation to an already perplexing tee shot.
We're not sure it's the same gorse found at Royal Troon, but the thick vegetation between the tee and the fringe add to the hole's image.
