The upcoming holiday weekend also features another winter storm. Here are the latest details.

On Tuesday, temperatures will rise to the low 30s, and a weak clipper system will bring snow showers starting Tuesday afternoon, WFSB reports.

“We’re not expecting much in terms of accumulation - about a coating to 2″ across the state, but with the timing of the snow, there could be some impacts to the Tuesday evening commute,” WFSB meteorologists said.

The station is declaring Tuesday a “First Alert Weather Day” due to the anticipated snowfall.

WTNH is reporting that a weak system may bring snow to Connecticut late Tuesday and into early Wednesday. It predicts northern Connecticut will get a half inch to two inches of snowfall, while it anticipates a coating to a half inch along southern Connecticut and the shore.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday through Saturday are expected to be dry and sunny, with daytime temperatures in the 30s.

Holiday weekend weather

Another round of stormy weather is expected for part of the holiday weekend, according to area meteorologists.

WTNH is reporting a “more potent storm” could impact Connecticut late Sunday through early Presidents’ Day. It currently anticipates snow and mixed precipitation developing during the evening and night on Sunday and then ending the morning of Presidents’ Day.

“Stay tuned on updates as this system will have lots of moisture and heavy precipitation amounts,” WTNH reports.

WFSB’s meteorologists also report the potential for rain or snow Sunday night.

“There’s still a lot of model uncertainty in terms of the impacts,” WFSB reports.
