Original story: Today will be very cold in Connecticut as the gusty wind will make it feel like the temperature is in the teens and single digits. It will stay cold on Wednesday and then snow is expected to move in for the evening commute and continue through early Thursday morning, which could cause a slippery commute.
It's a good bet that many school systems across the state will have to issue delays and or cancellations for Thursday. The difference about this snowstorm is that the temps are cold enough to support all snow and there isn't expected to be a changeover to ice and plain rain.
This will not be a major snow event but a general 2 to 4 inches of snow across the state is expected. The timing of the snow is the biggest concern. The good news is that the strong winds will taper off tonight but it will be very cold tonight with temps in the teens.
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons says, "A cold day today with the wind gusting to around 30-35 mph. The wind chill will be around 13 all day long! Have your sunglasses! I expect snow to start later in the day tomorrow and steady at night Wednesday night ending Thursday morning. 1-3 inches shoreline, 3-5 inches inland."

Snow develops Wednesday afternoon and ends early Thursday morning. Nothing crazy here but enough to impact both the Wed eve and Thu AM commutes. We're forecasting 2"-5" of snow NO ICE. (Did I jinx us again?) Same timing as last week's storm. Weird... pic.twitter.com/8vhcSCVi6m
