CT Weather: Strong Thunderstorms, Wind, Hail Possible
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Connecticut for possible severe storms Wednesday and Thursday.
CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service cautioned that the state may see strong-to-severe storms Wednesday afternoon and again Thursday. Thunderstorms, strong winds and possibly an isolated tornado are possible.
There is good news in the forecast for beachgoers, though. Once we get past the potentially stormy weather Wednesday and Thursday, Connecticut is looking at sunny weather Friday into the weekend. Temperatures will also be more manageable, with highs in the mid-to-upper 80s as opposed to the recent heat wave.

WTN News 8 Chief Meteorologist Gil Simmons said on social media that we'll go from morning rain to sun today but that we need to be weather alert for this afternoon and evening.
"Improving weather is expected during the middle of the day and into the afternoon with highs in the 80s to around 90° and the heat index making it feel like 90s! Please stay alert for an evening shower or thunderstorm and some of these could be severe. Tomorrow will feature sun giving away to some thunderstorms in the afternoon," Simmons wrote.
