TV Reporter Joins WTNH News 8, Returns To New England

CONNECTICUT — Journalist Jessica Reyes announced this week on social media she is returning to New England as a reporter for WTNH News 8.

Reyes shared her excitement over joining the News 8 team on her Twitter and Instagram accounts.

"It’s been a few years, but I am so, so happy to be back in New England doing the news," Reyes said on Twitter. "Hartford/New Haven, I'm thrilled to be the newest reporter at @WTNH!!!!!"

The station also welcomed Reyes on its official Twitter account, and she received a number of congratulations on social media concerning her new job.

On Tuesday, WTNH News 8 posted on Twitter, "welcome to News 8, @jessicamreyes!"

News 8 anchor and reporter Lisa Carberg wrote on Twitter, "welcome Jessica to the @WTNH family! Happy to have you on the best news team in Connecticut!"

On Wednesday, Reyes posted a picture of herself at the station on Instagram with the caption "It's good to be back."

In the past, Reyes has worked as a television journalist in Boston, according to her reporter reel.
